Most digital guides publish a list. Wayspot reads the moment — the weather, the hour, who you’re with — and shows the handful of places worth going to now, with short videos, guided walks and driving tours, and a guide you can simply ask.

Sundsvall är vår första plats — ett levande bevis på vad Wayspot kan göra. Fler platser är på väg.

Why Wayspot?

People don’t visit places because of maps.

They visit because something made them curious. Wayspot helps you inspire visitors to explore.

Publishing content is not the same as creating visits. Other guides give everyone the same static list — Wayspot shows what fits right now.

You decide

  • Which places to highlight.
  • Which stories to tell.
  • Which routes to recommend.
  • Which local businesses to showcase.
  • How visitors experience your place.

Your place. Your map.

Instant context

Help visitors understand a place in seconds.

Instead of only seeing a map pin, visitors tap a place and instantly discover:

Short videos
Images
Practical information
Opening hours
Nearby places
Directions
Talkies — audio
Save for later
Scan a QR — land straight on the place

Everything they need to decide where to go next.

Made for the moment

A guide that knows what fits right now.

Not a list of everything. The right handful of places for this hour, this weather and this company.

Right now

The map reads the moment — time of day, weather and what is actually open. Indoors when it rains, kid-friendly when the family is along, close by when there is an hour to spare.

Ask Wayspot

Ask instead of search. Wayspot answers in plain language from your own catalogue — never from the open web — with real places, a picture and a save button right there in the answer.

Walks & driving tours

Guided walks through town and driving tours along the coast, like Kustvägen from Svartvik to Galtström. Distance and travel time per leg, stop-by-stop check-off, and navigation that stays inside Wayspot.

Plan my day

Save a few places and Wayspot turns them into one smart round — ordered by weather, opening hours and how you travel. The plan stays on the phone for 24 hours, so closing the tab never loses the day.

The practical layer

Toilets, parking, EV charging, camping and info points as their own layer — switched on the moment a visitor needs it, invisible the rest of the time.

Behind Wayspot

About the founder

I started playing with maps when I was three.

One of my favourite toys was a map book filled with illustrated landmarks. It made places feel alive — not like dots on a page, but like stories waiting to be discovered.

Geography became the subject I loved most. Years later, after working with digital products, marketing and place development, I found my way back to maps.

Wayspot is the result of that journey. It gives places and projects their own map — a place where they decide what visitors discover, which stories are told and how each place is experienced.

Short videos, images and practical information create instant context. A visitor can understand a place in seconds, before deciding where to go next.

In many ways, Wayspot is not a new direction for me. It is a return to the thing that fascinated me first.

Making places feel worth discovering.
